The City of Chowchilla
Redevelopment Agency has programs available to assist downtown business owners with
resources to initiate improvements to make our downtown visually pleasant
and structurally safe for our valued customers. Rehabilitation loan programs
such as the Commercial Rehabilitation Loan Program, Commercial
Rehabilitation Deferred Loan Program, and the Facade Improvement Grant
Program, are available in order to aid the Redevelopment Agency in carrying out goals
and objectives for the purpose of eliminating blight.

Per
Resolution 21-09 dated 11-23-09, the Chowchilla Redevelopment Agency loan
and grant programs shall be suspended and no applications shall be
considered until the Agency Board has adopted new underwriting guidelines,
standards, and procedures for each program. |

In addition, the Redevelopment
Agency is required by law to set aside a minimum of 20% of its tax increment
revenue for low and moderate income affordable housing programs. |
