City Administration also encompasses the risk management duties for the City of Chowchilla. Risk Management includes liability and property damage claims, workers' compensation, employee risk management, and monitoring and maintaining insurance coverage for the City through participation in the Central San Joaquin Valley Risk Management Authority, a joint powers agency that self-insures with other cities. Every effort is made to keep risks to a minimum through employee awareness and training, and by quick response by City staff to any incident that occurs.
