David Alexander was born in Fresno, California in 1970 and spent his
childhood there, graduating from Hoover High School. In school, David earned
a baseball scholarship to San Jose State University. He obtained his B.A.
degree from California State University Fresno in 1994 and began his career
as a high school teacher at his alma mater. David remained in the
educational system for eight years working for Fresno, Mendota and Parlier
Unified School Districts.

An opportunity for change
brought David to Chowchilla in 2004 where he opened an office for Pacific Ag
Insurance located right in the heart of the city. He stays very busy as a
full-service insurance broker specializing in personal insurance needs,
workers compensation, and commercial business. |

David’s wife, Dianna, runs day-to-day operations at her family
business, Botelho Trucking in Los Banos, California and is the current
president of the Chowchilla Tenaya Guild. The Alexanders have
been married since 1999 and have two children, Sydney and Kourtney.
His family enjoys spending time together, sports activities, camping trips, riding quads and going to the beach. |

David is
actively involved in his community by volunteering his time coaching Chowchilla
Little League, Chowchilla Youth Soccer and Youth Basketball Leagues. He currently
serves as the
Vice-President of the Chowchilla Athletic Foundation and is a Board Member
for the Fresno High/American Ambulance Baseball Tournament. David is
a former
board member of the Chowchilla Healthcare District.
In the past year, David has spearheaded and
organized a Community Volunteer Cleanup Program in Chowchilla.
David’s interests
include spending time with his family and friends, helping others, working
with youth sports groups, and
golfing. |

David was
elected to the Chowchilla City Council in December 2008 and is serving his
first term as a Council Member.
He recently
served as Mayor from December 2010 to December
2011.
David's council term expires December 2012. |
