held on the second and fourth *Tuesdays of the month. Special
meetings can be called with a 24-hour notice. Notices of meetings and
meeting locations are posted
at the Civic Center as required by the Brown Act. Meetings
are held in Council Chambers at the Chowchilla Civic Center located at 130

*Effective 9-12-11
Council meetings consist of
several items of business. During Council meetings there is a time devoted
to Public Address, which is a time set aside for the sole purpose of
allowing members of the public to address the Council on items of interest
that are not on the agenda and are within Council's jurisdiction. Each
speaker is limited to three to five minutes. Council may or may not respond
to comments; they are prohibited from taking action on items addressed
during that time and not noticed on the agenda.
If a member of the public
wishes to bring an item of interest to the Council's attention, they may do
so under Public Address as noted above, or contact the
City Clerk's Office
to schedule an item for consideration on a Council agenda. In order to have items placed
on an agenda, all information (including exhibits, handouts, etc.) must be received in the
City Clerk's office 14 days prior to the scheduled meeting.
The City of Chowchilla
complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA of 1990). The Council
Chambers are accessible to the physically disabled. If you need special
