| CHOWCHILLA AREA TRANSIT EXPRESS (CATX) | ||||

CATX is a general public, curb-to-curb, demand response transit system established in 1995 and operated by the City of Chowchilla. Transportation is available during daytime hours Monday through Friday for appointments within the transit service area. Appointments can be made for work, medical visits, school, meetings, senior services, shopping, events, and more. All busses are wheelchair lift equipped. |

CATX service is provided in specific designated areas. For
travel within Zone 1, primarily Chowchilla city limits, the fee is $1.50 for
each one-way trip. The fee for Zone 2 travel is $2.00 for each one-way trip. Senior, student, and general public passes are available and can be purchased at the Chowchilla Civic Center located at 130 S. Second Street. Passes are also available on any CATX bus. |
