The Chowchilla Police Department (CPD) has a current authorized strength of sixteen officers. The department is made up of the Chief of Police, three Sergeants that perform administrative and patrol duties, and currently there are ten officers assigned to patrol duties. These officers are also assigned to the following special assignments: Detective and Campus Resource Officer. CPD is also authorized to have up to twelve Reserve Police Officers; currently there are two on staff. The Chowchilla Police Department is currently staffed with an Administrative Supervisor and five Community Service Officers who perform dispatch, evidence, animal control, record duties, C.S.I., registrant, and live scan duties. The department is also staffed with two police chaplains who serve on a volunteer basis. |
