The Solid Waste Division of the Public Services Department provides a comprehensive waste management and recycling program. This division works closely with Madera Disposal, our franchise refuse disposal service. The City of Chowchilla and Madera Disposal partner together for the responsibility of weekly pick-up collection service of trash from approximately 3,100 residents and 230 businesses.  

We also coordinate  with the City and County of Madera for annual household hazardous waste programs. Additionally, our department conducts an annual clean-up day in September every year for the city residents.

To sign up for services, please go in to the Chowchilla Civic Center located at 130 S. Second Street, Civic Center Plaza.
