  Street Sweeping

The frequency of street sweeping has been affected by budget and manpower reductions. Routine street sweeping schedules may not be in effect. Inclement weather, accumulation of leaves, and other factors may also cause interruptions. We appreciate your patience during these times. Please remember to keep your trash containers off the road except on your pickup day. Violations will result in citations as noted inside. Whenever possible, please move your vehicles off the street so that we are able to do a more efficient job. Please do NOT rake leaves into the street. Leaves must be placed in your GREEN waste container. For more information on street sweeping in your area, call the Public Services Department at (559) 665-8615, extension 305.

  Sidewalk Problems

Contact the Public Services Department at (559) 665-8615, extension 305, or send email to report sidewalk problems. They will contact the appropriate crew to inspect and respond to service requests. Minor problems are placed on a list for future repairs.

  Tree Removal

The City is responsible for trees on the city right-of-way. Trees that are a safety concern are removed first. Please report emergencies to Public Services Department at (559) 665-8615, extension 305 or the Police Department at (559) 665-8600. Routine tree removal requests are placed on a list for future consideration.

  Potholes

Contact the Public Services Department at (559) 665-8615, extension 305 or send email to report potholes. Repairs are normally scheduled for completion within 72 hours of reporting.

Note:  An Encroachment Permit is required for any work performed within the public right-of-way. Contact the Community Development Department for the required permit(s).
