The Fleet Service Division of the
Public Works Department provides preventative
maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and sometimes fabrication on the City's
approximately 150 plus pieces of equipment.
This division is responsible for maintaining all licensed city
vehicles, tractors, and other powered equipment in a safe and
effective manner. There is an annual inspection and evaluation of all
equipment used by various City departments to determine overall condition
and/or need for replacement.
We continue to develop an efficient fleet maintenance system
by participating in State and Federal surplus property acquisition programs
and by developing a computer based maintenance program.
